Charlie’s got it all:
women, prestige and money. However he decides to make a financial
transaction that ends up destroying his promising career and sentences
him to three months in prison. On leaving prison, he gets a job as a
substitute teacher in a public school: this will become his
biggest challenge. Learning the hard way, Charlie not only discovers
that his unconventional thinking could change the lives of a group of
youth-at-risk, but he also finds love in Ana, a simple and idealistic
teacher. “The Substitute Teacher” is a story of second opportunities and
also a reflection of the dreams and limitations of the Chile we are all
building.
